"I found live or three large stones resting on the top. The weight of the stones had been covering the drain.
On entering the drains, I found about 4 feet to 6 feet of one of the side walls to the drain was visible to observe the direction of the drain through the property, but I think it most probably runs under the Edenelling house. If so, it has probably been damaged for some time past, and consequently allowed the water to escape partly and destroy the soil under the foundations.
The size of the drain is 1'9" × 1'7" and is in a fair state of repair, except that some of the covering stones which in some way prevented the water from flowing through the drain.
